“Squirrel Ran Up My Leg”
© 2009 Eve & Mare
Camping on the edge of Apple Creek
Scampered up a tree to find a view
What a circumstance, there were squirrels on every branch
I winked hello and said well howdy-do
The squirrels and I became fast furry friends
I named them Bobber, Skip and Little Rex
I headed down the tree and Bobber followed me
And friend you won’t believe what happened next
That squirrel ran up my leg and I did a crazy jig
So fast so scared he went flying through the air
And he didn’t look back cause he didn’t even care
Cause I was more scared of him than he was of me oh
I was more scared of him that he was of me
I pitched a fit and yelled for Mom and Dad
They asked what in the world got in to me
I trembled and I shook, and I explained that he mistook
Oh that squirrel mistook my pants leg for a tree
That squirrel ran up my leg and I did a crazy jig
So fast so scared he went flying through the air
And he didn’t look back cause he didn’t even care
He zipped through the sky like a brown furry flair
Cause I was more scared of him than he was of me oh
I was more scared of him that he was of me
(squirrel solo)
Here’s the morsel of this big ol’ bushy tale
If you ever catch a squirrel sniffing your toe
You’d better back away or there’ll be a price to pay
Just take a hint from me I ought to know
That squirrel ran up my leg and I did a crazy jig
So fast so scared he went flying through the air
And he didn’t look back cause he didn’t even care
He zipped through the sky like a brown furry flair
All campers on the ground beware
Cause I was more scared of him
I was more scared of him
I was more scared of him than he was of me oh
I was more scared of him than he was of me
