"Saltwater Tears"

My sister, Sue, she ruined my drawing

I got so mad, I had to just shout (she had to just shout)

Then I stomped my feet, and I started bawling

I opened my eyes and guess what came out (guess what came out)

Saltwater tears, they’re all I can cry (all she can cry)

But how did this salt get inside my eye? (inside her eye)

Why isn’t it sugar? Why isn’t it pepper?

Did somebody think salt would make tears taste better?

I’ve got a supply that’s lasting me years

all these saltwater tears

whenever I’m sad, out they come pouring

they slide down my cheeks and fall off my chin (they fall off her chin)

they all taste the same, and it gets so boring

why can’t they be chocolate, why not cinnamon? (we like cinnamon)

Saltwater tears, they’re all I can cry (all she can cry)

Did somebody think salt would make tears taste better?

All these saltwater tears, they’re all I can cry (all she can cry)

But how did this salt get inside my eye?

Will I figure it out if I study for years

About saltwater tears?
